Although these are lifetime pieces, it’s best to protect your Dear Me jewelry from knocks, extreme temperatures, and undue stress.
Solid gold jewelry is waterproof and does not need to be removed before showering or swimming - however, repeated exposure to chlorine, in particular, will weaken your jewelry’s structure and may eventually lead to breaking.
Solid gold also won’t oxidize or discolor, but it is a soft and malleable material that scratches easily. We recommend you to regularly wipe your item down with a jewelry cleaning cloth to keep any signs of tarnishing at bay. To remove any visible build-up of natural oils or makeup, you can clean your item at home, using warm soapy water and a very soft brush. Store your item in a cool, dry place to protect it in between uses.

Will it tarnish or fade?
No. Solid gold won’t oxidise or discolour. It is soft, though, so it can scratch; wipe it with a jewellery cloth now and then.
Can I shower with it?
Yes. Solid gold is waterproof. Take it off for the pool, though: chlorine weakens it over time.
