Each end of the chain is finished with a smooth piece of hardware, one of which connects to a lobster clasp, the other to an extension chain (made from regular, oval-shaped links and with a small seashell charm attached to the end). I love the colour of this - the gold is not too yellow which is perfect for my liking. I would say the length of the chain is closer to the base of the neck, luckily I have also ordered the Silver version which is slightly longer. Also important to mention, the item did not tarnish and seems strong enough to survive daily wear. This was meant to be a gift however I liked it so much that I have kept it for myself! Highly recommending this necklace for an elegant look.
